Speaking from experience, it is hard to put on lipstick and make it look perfect. So, I thought it was about time I looked up some tips for perpetuating the perfect pout, and shared them with all of you.

What does lipstick do? It draws attention to our lips, of course — preferably positive attention. But it can be so easy to garner negative attention, because the flawless application of lipstick is so hard.

It is vital that your lips be dry when you start. Not parched, mind you, just dry, as in don’t lick them right before the great lipstick experiment.

Why? Because next, you want to put on a very, very thin coat of moisturizer — specifically for your lips — over your lower lip, and then blot both lips together. Then blot onto a tissue, to get the excess.
