The next step in achieving the perfect lipstick pout involves choosing a lip liner that is just a little darker than the lipstick you choose — a shade or less. Making sure your hand is steady, begin tracing the very outline of your bottom lip. Go from one corner to the other; then repeat with your upper lip. Make sure to follow the curves, but do not turn them into points. The line should be narrow, as it is meant to be a boundary.

Next, start in with your lipstick. Begin n the middle of your lower lip and stroke downward, then apply color in one smooth motion on either side.

Once your lower lip is filled in, blot your lips together but do not rub them too much.
