Well, Sephora is paying a serious homage to the dainty, darling little Smurf, with their Too Faced So Smurfy Illumination Face Powder, a face powder so fantastic it belies its rather whimsical name and design. The powder is part of Sephora’s whole new Too Faced Smurf Collection, and it conceals blemishes, brightens the skin, and refreshes your entire collection.

Now, we all know Sephora makes fantastic makeup, so Aesthetic Technologies has to implore you not to be put off by the cartoon fixtures here — and if you cannot get past the picture of Smurfette emblazoned on the compact, then try to remember, she had unfailingly gorgeous skin. One can just bet that Sephora, just like Smurfette, got some tips from Vanity Smurf for this fun little line!

Even those who don’t need to use makeup, (say, those lucky few who have perfect skin,) can still benefit from a light application of cheek color. Blush can make your face light up with a natural glow, which when done correctly, doesn’t even need to look like it comes from makup! The third blush I will be reviewing is a relative “newbie,” but a groundbreaking one.

Smashbox O-Glow BlushSmashbox O-Glow, the first “intuitive blush,” is a clear-gel that suits any skintone, so you don’t have to worry about color faux-pas. The unique formula contains Goji-Berry-C Complex that reacts with your own skin’s chemistry and moisture to produce a micro-circulatory effect that leaves your cheeks pink with a healthy-glow. Instead of coloring your cheeks, like most traditional blush products, O-Glow brings out your own natural flush. How great is that? The formula also anti-oxidant ingredients like vitamin C, pomegranate seed oil, and marine plankton; good stuff that protects you’re your skin and keeps it healthy to maintain your rosy glow.

I personally adore this product, I think it’s absolutely brilliant! A product that, literally, makes you look like you’re in the pink of health.

(price: $26 at Sephora)
