When you are dealing with the weather – it can be really, really difficult for you to actually determine what makeup is going to be great and match with the weather. One of the first things that you should do before you ever leave your home is check the weather online – that way, you know how you should use your makeup and what products to use.
Firstly, if it is going to rain, you always want to make sure that you are going to stay away from liquid foundation. The reason for that is because liquid foundation actually can ‘melt’ off of your face and does not last as long as non-liquid foundation.
We are going to go into some more tips in the next blog peeps, make sure that you stay tuned!
Now that we have talked a little bit about MAC, let’s shift on over to the brand new Dior Lacy Beauty. This particular collection is definitely one that I am ever-so-excited about if only because I absolutely flip over lace. The Dior Lacy Beauty is the brand new spring collection that Christian Dior is putting out and I can tell you that the collection is all about lace.
All of the compacts are done up right in lace and of course the imprints that you have inside the compacts are all lace. The collection is going to include everything from lace eye shadow all the way to Dior addict lip polish and even some lace blush.
The good news about the Dior Lacy Beauty? Well, it’s coming this month! Mid-January is the anticipated launch date!
When you think about it – winter is here now and spring is right around the corner and I can tell you for sure that I am constantly looking ahead to see what beauty products are out there. MAC for example is going to be coming out of some beautiful, beautiful products for their Spring line – for example, the MAC Too Fabulous Collection is coming in March.
The launch date for the MAC Too Fabulous Collection is March 4th and I can tell you for sure that this particular collection is not only going to be fabulous, but it is going to be practical as well.
The MAC Too Fabulous Collection is going to have everything from cremesheen glass all the way to some beautiful lip pencils that are to die for!
Now that we have talked a little bit about the glitter side of things, let’s go ahead and touch on the mystery side of things. One of the biggest trends for the holidays in makeup is making yourself a little mysterious and I can tell you that no better way to be a little mysterious than putting on a little dark eyeshadow.
Smoky eyes are definitely part of the winter makeup trends and I can tell you for sure that when the holidays roll around, nothing is sexier than a smoky eye with a nude lip.
So if you are looking for a great way to look fantastic in your makeup this season, I can tell you that these two holiday trends will help your look go a really long way!
Can you believe that Christmas is this week? I know that I can’t believe it! Are you ready for Christmas? Well, I can tell you for sure that there is absolutely nothing in the world more holiday than glitter and that is why glitter makeup is by far one of the best holiday makeup trends for 2009.
Now, the key to using glitter is not using a whole lot in your look. A little can truly go a long way and I can absolutely promise that if you over do it – it will not look as special as if when you just add in a little bit of sheen.
Glitter is also something that you do not want to get colored. Colorless glitter is the best or white, because it can go with anything at all!
Now that we have talked about the MAC holiday collection, let’s move onto LUSH. While LUSH is not necessarily for your face, it is definitely skincare that can go a very, very long way. Personally, I absolutely LOVE LUSH stuff – no matter what it is and it does make your skin extremely healthy and look awesome.
With the LUSH holiday collections, I can tell you that there are a ton of different scents as well as things you can get. For example, some of the kits include everything from shower gel all the way to some bath bombs and face cream.
LUSH is a company the prides itself on being 100% organic and natural … and honestly, it is awesome stuff. Check it out!
If you are a huge fan of MAC, you know exactly what their newest collection is going to be – the Magic, Mirth & Mischief collection. This collection is actually really near and dear to my heart simply because it is a holiday collection. Personally, I love the holidays and I think that they are by far the best time in the world for the cosmetic companies to make a killing!
However … this collection is not like that. It is brand new and features a ton of new things. Everything from makeup all the way to nail polish and of course lipsticks that are to die for – the colors are awesome too!
If you are looking for the perfect addition to your holiday makeup collections, MAC’s Magic, Mirth & Mischief is definitely it!
The wand is everything. Mascara wands are different, they come in a variety of shapes and with varying degrees of fullness. If you want full eyelashes, then a full brush is going to serve you best. If you need help reaching the eyelashes in the corers of your eyes, then a small wand is better. If you don’t want clumps but do want your eyelashes separated, then a comb is the best bet.
Winter is a great time for dramatic eye makeup, like the popular smoky eye. Black mascara is best for attaining this look.
During these months, you should use two coats, with the second being applied before the first coat dries. That will help keep clumps from occurring.
It’s all about the eyes, you know. And what draws attention to the eyes? The eyelashes. How do you make your eyelashes pop? Mascara, of course. And this winter, there are definitely some things you need to know about mascara. In fact, the following posts contain information that can come in handy all year round.
As a rule, you need to replace your mascara every three months — and that follows the seasons quite well. In winter, you need a different mascara than what you wear during the summer.
This season, your lashes can still be long, luscious, and full. What you need to realize however is that the wand is responsible for fullness, rather than most mascara formulas, so that is where we will start when we pick up next time.
Oh, I have to tell you guys that I thought that I would never … ever live to see the day that purple, glitter eye shadow was actually something that people would consider a fashion trend. Right now though – on Halloween, they do finally consider it a fashion trend and not just for today, but actually in real life too.
There are actually two extremes for the eyes, the smoky eye that is going to be ever-so-popular and the almost non-existent eye shadow, which is something that many people are relying on right now.
When you wear the second look – you better have some kickass mascara on, for all of the attention is going to be on those lashes.
